NLU Delhi UG
AILET Syllabus Explained
NLU Delhi writes its own notification. Do not paste a CLAT timetable onto AILET week.
Last updated: 18 August 2026
In short: The AILET UG syllabus is the pattern NLU Delhi publishes for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) entrance — typically English, current affairs / GK, and legal aptitude / reasoning as notified for that year. This page is an explainer. The legal document is the latest PDF on nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
How to read the AILET notification
Every year, check section names, question count, duration, and negative marking. If NLU Delhi changes a section, your CLAT notes do not automatically update. Sit hosted AILET papers with that year’s instructions on the booklet.
Shared skills with CLAT — and the trap
Reading speed, grammar in context, and calm GK help both papers. Timing, section weights and legal-question style can differ. Prepare AILET as its own mock cycle in the last weeks if you are sitting both.
FAQs
Does AILET have Quantitative Techniques like CLAT?
Not necessarily in the same form. Read the latest AILET notification. Do not assume a CLAT QT drill is an AILET requirement.
Can I use CLAT PYQs for AILET?
As extra reading practice, yes. As a substitute for AILET papers, no. Use the AILET downloads on this site plus the official archive.
Where is the official AILET syllabus?
On NLU Delhi’s admissions / AILET pages. This explainer is not the notification.
Is AILET PG covered here?
No. This guide is for the undergraduate B.A. LL.B. paper.
